How Strategus turned three-to-six-month integrations into under-one-week launches
The CTV-first programmatic agency made digital teammates part of its operating infrastructure — connecting fragmented platforms, transforming raw logs into client-ready attribution reports, and creating a six-figure impact within two months.

“With Convey, we have literally been able to take those three-to-six-month projects and turn them around in under a week.”
A thousand live orders across a fragmented ecosystem
Strategus is a CTV-first, programmatic-led agency. At any given time, the company manages roughly 1,000 orders moving across a complex advertising ecosystem — with data spread among buying platforms, measurement providers, client files, internal systems, and data warehouses.
Connecting those systems was slow and specialized work. Each new workflow could require a different direct integration or Snowflake data share. Once the data arrived, Strategus still had to normalize it manually before the team could use it consistently.
That process created a structural bottleneck. Technical integrations took months to build while the business and its clients kept moving. By the time one integration was ready, the team often needed to shift immediately to the next project. Strategus needed a flexible operating layer that could adapt to different client data and let the people who understood the business build useful workflows without waiting through a traditional integration cycle.
“In the past, we would have to work through different API or Snowflake share integrations, make sure we're normalizing the data manually.”
From tool to operating infrastructure
Michael initially saw Convey as a way to save time on familiar tasks such as order entry and presentation creation. The bigger opportunity emerged as Strategus began building digital teammates that could connect work across the platforms the company already used.
Instead of treating every new source or process as a bespoke software project, Michael could teach teammates how to work with the systems, files, and business rules involved. Convey became a bridge between fragmented platforms — ingesting information, applying Strategus's logic, and producing the outputs teams and clients needed.
That flexibility changed the role Convey played inside the company. It was no longer an isolated productivity assistant or a collection of small automations. It became part of the company's underlying operating model.
“I look at Convey as the backbone or infrastructure of our company at this point, not just a day-to-day tool that we use.”
Offline attribution at the flip of a switch
Offline attribution shows what that infrastructure looks like in practice. Advertisers need to understand whether people exposed to a campaign later completed a purchase or another real-world action. Producing that analysis requires Strategus to receive raw client data, clean and standardize it, map records correctly, protect sensitive information, and prepare the files required by different measurement and attribution partners.
Previously, those differences made each engagement feel like another integration project. The input format could change from client to client, and the output had to work no matter which provider was performing the measurement.
Strategus taught a Convey teammate to ingest raw log files and carry out the preparation workflow — reviewing incoming data, mapping stores to regions, removing duplicate revenue, preparing pass-back spreadsheets, and generating client attribution deliverables for approval. The result is a repeatable workflow that turns raw logs into a client-ready report without rebuilding the process for every provider.
“With Convey, we've actually been able to ingest these raw log files and create an offline attribution report at the flip of a switch to provide back for our clients, no matter what measurement or attribution provider they're using.”
Months of integration work compressed into days
Technical integration projects that had taken three to six months could now be turned around in under a week. That reduction matters beyond the hours saved on any one project — it lets Strategus respond to new client requirements while the need is still current, instead of consuming an entire quarter every time a platform, provider, or data format changes.
The operating model has expanded well beyond offline attribution. Digital teammates now carry work across operations, account management, accounting, product, media strategy, data analytics, sales, human resources, and business operations.
The breadth of that usage supports Michael's description of Convey as infrastructure: the value does not come from one automation alone, but from a growing network of teammates carrying work across functions.
A strategic counselor for better decisions
As routine execution moved to digital teammates, Michael found that Convey's role also moved upstream. The original goal was efficiency — fewer hours spent on order entry, presentations, data preparation, and similar work. But when teams could bring together information from multiple platforms more quickly, they also gained better inputs for judgment.
Convey became a way to investigate questions, structure information, and support decisions across the company. For Michael, that is the difference between a productivity tool and a strategic operating partner.
“When I started with Convey, I thought of it as, 'Hey, we're going to save a whole ton of time with order entry tasks, with PowerPoint decks and things of that nature,' but it's really come in to be a strategic counselor for me and for others to allow us to make better decisions for the company.”
The results
Within two months of going live, Strategus estimated that Convey had already created a six-figure cost savings and efficiency impact. Integration cycles fell from three to six months to under one week, and a complex offline attribution process became a repeatable, provider-agnostic workflow that could produce reports from raw client logs at the flip of a switch.
The larger result is architectural. Strategus now has a flexible layer for connecting platforms and operational knowledge without treating each requirement as a months-long development project. Teams across the business can automate execution, while leaders get faster access to the information they need to make decisions.
“With Convey being built out in the backend right now, I would say it's having a major cost savings and efficiency impact, upwards to the six figures already within two months of going live with it.”
